Actually any ol' time's a good time for Rascal, it's always only me that's got the problem. But actually Chris, I've been listening to your tunes here every so often since you dropped off your card and it didn't take me long to figure out that I'd be listening to them all a bunch of times before I made a final choice. I told Rascal to go pick out his favorite spot on the porch and curl up for a long one because tonight could stretch way past midnight. I'm sure he got to know though which way I was leaning every time I came back and played "Out Of Your Mind" again. He'd lift up his head and look at me in that knowing kind of way that only your best pal does best. What a great intro on the song Chris - awesome lead guitar and sweet pedal steel work playing off each other, setting you up to come in with your richly seasoned great country voice. Your touring and associations with so many fine artists has paid off in aces for you, and it shows in every one of your songs. But to me, this song has it all, beginning with your great lyrics. You are one talented songwriter Chris. As for the arrangement, it couldn't be any better no matter how hard anybody else tried. And lordy, talk about toe-tapping rhythm, you had my foot keeping time right from the get-go ... even when I jumped aboard that blazing harmonica freight train that rolled in to join the rest of your powerhouse musicians. And Chris, you owe your sister Charlie big time for those sweet harmonies she laid down on the track - talk about putting the icing on the cake, she sure did. This is one well-done tune. I lost count of the number of times me and Rascal listened to it, but I tell ya Chris, if this is as close as I ever get to the Grand Ol' Opry, I'm going to be just as happy knowing I had the honor of bringing you here to Legendary Music.
