I Need Advise With Situation

hi i need advise from all my friends out there... i have a nine year old son, and he asked me a question one day about is he irish or pakistani?... before i answered i asked why he is asking this.... he told me .. "you know the way i am tanned does that mean that he is from pakistan even thou i was born in ireland.?" i told him no that even thou his mum and i are from pakistan it does not mean he is pakistani , only that he has pakistani blood inside him.. but that he was born in ireland so he is irish.... i quizzed him more about his question.. he told me" his friends keep saying that he cant be irish because he is tanned skin ,and that he started arguing with them then his teacher in school intervened so the question was put to the teacher ... i asked him what the teacher said... i was shocked that the teacher said that he was pakistani not irish and now my son is confused ... and to be honest i am too..... can any one help me with this what i should do... or how do i explain
