The Boondock Saints was a film made in 1999 starring Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus. The MacManus brothers are celebrating Saint Patrick's Day with friends when the two get into a bar brawl with three russian mobsters. The next morning, the same mobsters, only two men now, seek revenge on the brothers, who kill them in self-defense. They later clear their names at the police station. To avoid the press, they spend the night in a holding cell where they recieve a message from God telling them to hunt down the wicked men so the innocent will thrive. Thus, they begin hunting down evil mobsters and killing them.
