Description:It has been well documented that there are several constraints for physical activity participation for CALD individuals beyond personal motivation such as language barrier, socioeconomic factors, psychological trauma, alternate health seeking behaviour and lack of culturally sensitive facilities (Caperchione et al;2009). A support group for middle aged Arabic speaking background women was established in December 2005. The main focus of the project was to improve physical health, reduce social isolation and encourage women to increase their personal skills to join the workforce.
