Vision Crew, an eight-week artistic and cultural initiative, is a grassroots collective of young community artists that merges various art forms and promotes dialogue through educational discussions on topics such as managing the uncertainties of gender and sexual identity, developing and maintaining healthy relationships, and LGBTQ sexuality. ...The objectives of Vision Crew, through the provision of empowerment, are to provide a therapeutic environment for at-risk youth who have experienced abuse, including bias-related crimes, provide a supportive environment to discuss LGBTQ-related issues, and bridge the generational divide between adult community artists and youth. Upon successful completion of Vision Crew, participants are eligible to become a Future Vision member, which is a production team that creates and develops images, media and other forms of creative expression to be used for agency-wide programming and fundraisers.
